Transformational Coaching
Transformational Coaching is aimed at leaders who want to be more courageous and purpose-led in the way they lead. Whether you need support to tackle your current leadership challenges, or to gain clarity about the next steps for your career, the program offers intensive coaching support, including leadership mentoring when appropriate for your learning needs.
Courageous Leadership
The Courageous Leadership Program helps leaders change the way they’re leading – from the inside out. The program has been designed with flexibility in mind, with 10 learning modules covering the ten key aspects of courageous leadership. You can engage me to deliver one module, or to deliver them all! Training is followed by group coaching to take leadership learning deeper. During coaching we apply the training to real-life work challenges so that learning becomes embedded in practice.
Living with purpose (on purpose)
A strong sense of purpose drives Maria Brett’s work and life.
Clarity of purpose is therefore central in her programs which are built on three core values:
- Integrity underpins everything. This means acting ethically, taking responsibility for your impact on other people and the world, and being your authentic self.
- Connection matters because we don’t live in isolation – we are wired for connection. Going beyond self to connect with others radically changes how you experience the world.
- Growth is possible, in your personal professional life, because change is constant. When growth is your purpose, and is pursued purposefully, transformation becomes possible.

Even the most visionary strategy won’t be implemented successfully if it doesn’t align with your organisation’s culture, and if your

How to Create Psychological Safety at Work
No time to read? Listen to the audio. Every leader probably knows they need to be creating psychological safety for the people they lead. But it’s also worth considering whether you actually feel safe to speak up to the leaders you report to with your concerns, questions, ideas or mistakes as a leader. I remember

Getting to grips with negativity bias
No time to read? Listen to the audio. Human beings have a natural tendency to focus on the negative aspects of experience. It makes sense that we do this, given that we are hard-wired to keep ourselves safe. This is negativity bias – the tendency we have to “attend to, learn from, and use negative

I love developing strategy, and I believe it’s crucially important, but I’m with Peter Drucker on this one. Even the most visionary strategy won’t be implemented successfully if it doesn’t align with your organisation’s culture, and if your culture is not healthy. Similarly, systems are essential. Without them, it’s difficult to effectively implement any strategy, or to harness people’s energy to do their

But it’s also worth considering whether you actually feel safe to speak up to the leaders you report to with your concerns, questions, ideas or mistakes as a leader. Getting to grips with negativity bias
No time to read? Listen to the audio. Human beings have a natural tendency to focus on the negative aspects of experience. It makes sense that we do this, given that we are hard-wired to keep ourselves safe. This is negativity bias – the tendency we have to “attend to, learn from, and use negative information far more than positive information.” (Vaish, Grossmann & Woodward, 2008). The down-side of negativity bias for leaders is that it can take you into
